Classification of our school
Heene is a Voluntary Aided First Co-Educational School (4+ to 8 years) covering reception to Year 3 in National Curriculum Groupings.
Preliminary Visits
We want your child to start school smoothly, settle happily and confidently, and begin their learning with us. During the term before admission there is a meeting for the parents to view the school, meet the early years staff, learn about our organisation and methods, and to ask questions.
The children also come in to visit at the end of the term. Transition into school is gentle with small groups of children starting school on different days over the first few weeks of term. When a child is registered at the school the parents are invited to any planned subsequent curriculum or open evenings.
